Ruby Queen Violet Circle Lens from Eyecandy Lens

This is the second pair of lenses I received for review from Eyecandy Lens, the Ruby Queen Violet circle lens.

 From EyecandyLens.com:

Ruby Queen Violet

Brand: NEO
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 45%
Diameter: 14.2 mm
Base Curve: 8.6

Duration: 1 year disposable
Create your signature look with the Ruby Queen series, a premium range by NEO Vision!  This series is designed to frame the iris multi-faceted diamond cut, exuding sophistication, class and personality.

This lens has a really pretty and unique diamond cut pattern. It looks stunning on the eyes. They are quite comfortable, I wore them for around 5 hours and they were fine. They are slightly smaller than the Dueba Max Pure Pink, and didn't seem to be as drying.

My face looks super white =_=;; I used a mattifying powder from e.l.f. and it made my face a bit ghostly in the flash. Please don't think I am purposely trying to whiten my face lol. The lenses are soooo vibrant, I love the way they look! I'm planning to wear them on Halloween with my Cleopatra costume and I'm sure they'll get a lot more use in the future :D Don't forget to use my code ISHAHBEAUTY if you order from Eyecandy Lens for a free surprise gift.

I'm going to do more circle lens reviews soon and possibly even a giveaway, so stay tuned :)

Dueba Max Pure Pink Circle Lens from Eyecandy Lens

I have been wanting a pair of pink lenses for a while now, so when Eyecandy Lens contacted me for a review I had to try these out!

Dueba Max Pure Pink Circle Lens
Brand: Dueba
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 38%
Diameter: 14.5 mm
Base Curve: 8.6
Duration: 1 year disposable

A beautiful natural design inspired by the soft pink colour of sakura blossoms.  If you are looking for a colour between light brown and grey that will really make your eyes pop, then pink lenses are the perfect choice!

Please note that this item is manufactured by Dueba, under our Royal Vision label.

When you mention pink contact lenses, a lot of people would probably be thinking "Pink eyes???", but the Max Pure Pink design is subtle and really pretty, my eyes look lit from within. They have a soft glow and the colour isn't really super pink, it looks more like a soft pinkish brownish grey (my descriptive talent is awesome). At 14.5mm, they give a nice enlargement without looking too fake or being uncomfortable. I did notice a little bit of drying after a few hours, but I just applied some eye drops and they were fine. I LOOOVE how the Dueba Max Pure Pink lenses look and I will be looking at a few other colours in this series!

Here's a short video so you can see them in action ;)

I will be reviewing a couple of other lenses very soon, so stay tuned :) Check out EyecandyLens.com for these gorgeous lenses and use my coupon code for a special free gift!

Geo Olive Wing Green Circle Lenses Review

Wing Green OL-103

Type: Geo Olive (Wing) Series
Diameter: 14mm
Base curve: 8.6mm
Water content: 38~42%
Disposable: 1 year

I got these from KawaiiLoveBeauty.com, just like the Honey Wing lens I reviewed previously.

These are a more subtle looking lens. The green is a deeper, more natural looking shade than the BerryHolic Turquoise and definitely doesn't stand out quite as much. It's perfect for those looking for a subtle change, or who are easing their way into wearing circle lenses for the first time. The comfort level is pretty good, but I do need to put in eye drops after about 4 hours as they can be a little drying. Enlargement is quite natural at 14mm, and they don't have a thick black limbal ring just a natural graduated one.

Lenses in artificial light

So difficult to capture this colour on camera, but it's definitely more like the natural light picture above (first pic). Indoors you can't see it much, but in sunlight and bright artificial light it's a nice colour and pattern.

Some full face/camho shots-

Yup, I love my Batman tee! Ok, I've only worn it twice in the past 3 weeks, but both times I took pics and post them on my blog.... now I look like I never change my clothes =_=;;

Overall, I really like this lens for when I want something really natural looking that still gives me a subtle change. I don't wear them as much as my other, more vibrant ones, but I keep them on reserve for those occasions where I don't want to look too over the top.

Puffy 3 Tone/ Shinny Violet Circle Lenses Review

My favourite, favourite lens!

I am so in love with this lens series, the G&G/Dueba Puffy 3 Tone/Shinny series. All of the colours look gorgeous and I'm probably going to get them all. I know EOS also makes a Puffy 3 Tone, but I'm not sure what the difference is. I've only ever bought the G&G/Dueba lenses and they've been great.

This is the G&G/Dueba Puffy 3 Tone Violet, also known as Shinny Violet which I bought from Kiwiberry1 Collection. I have also reviewed the Puffy 3 Tone/Shinny Grey, which you can check out here.

They sell out of the different colours sometimes, but they restock quite often.

I love the pattern, it graduates from violet to a pretty gold colour that blends well with my natural brown eyes. The enlargement is quite natural looking but really makes your eyes stand out more.

These are so comfortable, I can wear them for 8 hours+ without applying eye drops. They aren't quite as flexible and comfortable as the Geo Berryholic lenses, but they are very, very close.

I am absolutely in love with these pretty lenses. They look as natural as violet eyes could ever look and really complement pink and gold shades, both clothing and makeup.

Some camwhore phone pics because you know I can’t resist.

All are in natural daylight, no flash.

I think I'm going to try a gold or pink lens next, Kiwiberry just got some pretty designs in.

Geo Olive Honey Wing Circle Lens Review

Hi Beauties :)

Here is another post in the 'Gyaru on a budget' series.
Some people think that Gyaru is just a style for young girls, and Mamas or anyone older than 20 can't pull it off. To them I say "HA!" Tsubasa-chan, one of the biggest Gyaru models, has a son and is still getting her Gyaru on! If she can do it, then certainly we can :) That's not to say you should follow the look obsessively (although you can, of course, if you want to!). I like to approach it this way.. take what you like from the look and adapt it to your personal taste. That way it looks much more natural and suitable for you (and we don't all have the time/money to maintain such an extravagant look.. as much as some of us may want to!).

Circle lenses are huge in Korea, Japan and many other Asian countries. They brighten your eyes and make them look larger; giving the 'Dolly Eye' look so prevalent in Gyaru styles. These are topics that have been covered a lot, so I'm not going to go too in depth unless someone asks me to specifically :)

I didn't want to go through a lot of hassle, time wasting and money to get some cute lenses so I researched a few different websites that sold circle lenses and shipped to the US. KawaiiLoveBeauty.com imports their circle lenses directly from South Korea and ships them from the US, so if you are stateside it will only take about 4 days for shipping, as opposed to weeks when you order from a company based in Asia.

I ordered one pair, the Honey Wing lenses @ $19.90 + $2.50 s&h (the cheapest shipping I've seen so far).  The lenses came with a free pink, blue and white lense case, very cute!

Type: Geo Olive (Honey Wing) Series
Diameter: 14mm
Base curve: 8.6mm
Water content: 38~42%
Disposable: 1 year

I am a newb at putting in contact lenses, so I managed to poke myself in the eye with my nail... #notwinning.

PROS:
  • They are pretty comfortable, I wore them for about 7 hours and sometimes forgot I was wearing them
  • They look very natural, giving my eyes a glistening shine and slight enlargement.
  • They make my eyes stand out more
  • The pattern is very pretty close up
CONS:
  • They are a little TOO close to my natural eye colour. I was hoping they would lighten my eyes up a little.
  • The pattern is a little subtle, so although it is pretty it doesn't stand out that much.

Overall I would recommend these if you want a really natural look for brown eyes, that gives a sparkle and slight enlargement. If you have lighter coloured eyes these will give you a really pretty natural looking change.

I think next time I'll try a grey lense.
For me, KawaiiLoveBeauty is a great choice for affordable circle lenses. They have a wide variety and really reasonable shipping. One little problem I have with the site is that sometimes it is a bit slow to load, but that may be my browser.

Have you ever tried circle lenses? What do you think of the look?
