Born Pretty Store Nail Stickers Review

I enjoy doing nail art, but sometimes I just want something easy and cute that looks good but takes very little effort. A while back I received these cute nail stickers from Born Pretty Store for review and they are the perfect accent to a mani when you don't have time (or energy) for nail art.

All of the stickers are adorable, but I love the diamonds sooo much! I decided to use a couple of  them over ORLY Fight On and Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter. After using a glue basecoat to assist with glitter removal, I did one layer of Pinky Glitter, one layer of Fight On, one layer of Pinky Glitter and one last layer of Fight On and then put two diamond stickers on the accent nail and top coated. The effect is extremely cute!

The stickers are light and thin and quite flexible so they lay very flat on the nail.Some nail stickers can curl up at the edges or feel raised, but these just felt nice and smooth under top coat. They stayed on perfectly the whole time I wore this mani and I will definitely be using the rest of the sheet! They are super, super cute and only 99c for one sheet of stickers.

Manicure Monday: Pink & Grey - The epitome of simple & girly.

Honestly, I'm not really a grey kind of person... or so I thought!

I've found that this colour is actually super chic and looks really pretty with a sweet pastel/baby pink. I wanted to try Zoya Dove, from the Intimates collection, but didn't want it to look too boring.. so I decided to jazz it up a little bit by adding some nail stickers I got eons ago at Sally Beauty.

This is 3 coats of Zoya Dove with two of the bow stickers. I thought they looked a bit plain, so I added two longer stripes (supposed to be ribbon tails I guess..?) with Kiss nail art polish.

I really love the look of Dove, it's such a perfect muted grey, without looking stark or too blueish. The formula was ok, a bit runny and patchy in places which is why I need 3 coat. Not too bad though, Zoya is usually pretty good formula-wise. My topcoat is one coat of ORLY Sec n Dry over the polish, then the nail stickers and nail art polish, then one coat of Kiss Me Nail Mente topcoat to seal the stickers.

I really need to do a proper review on the Nail Mente, it's such a good topcoat.

Incidentally.. this mani kind of reminds me of my signature down the bottom of the post! Yeah, I just noticed that.

Color Club #13 (no-name polish) & Hello Kitty nail stickers

A while ago I bought a 7 pack of Color Club polishes from Ross that had no names. They only have a number on the bottom... poor little nameless polishes. I feel like they become like faceless androids when they don't have a name. No matter how nice a colour, they lack personality. It's not a huge deal, just one of my little quirks.

Onto the polish! The formula was a little gloopy and became tacky quickly so I had to work pretty fast. I did 3 coats because the first was a little streaky (a result of not being quick enough!) so I had to cover it up. I got a couple of bubbles in my middle finger, but they are unnoticeable under a topcoat.Overall application wasn't too bad once I got the hang of it.
