Maybelline Baby Lips: Cherry Me, Pink Punch & Peach Kiss

Beauties. I am soooo in love with these lip balms.

BabyLips

I adore sheer, juicy looking colour on lips, especially for spring/summer. It definitely seems to be the trend right now, like the Revlon Lip Butters I previously reviewed.

From the Maybelline website:
• Visibly renewed lips and 8-hr hydration
• The secret: Exclusive lip renew formula with SPF 20
• Protects and moisturizes lips for a full 8 hours
• After 4 weeks, lips are visibly renewed and  reborn
• 6 varieties
These, unlike the lip butters, are definitely a coloured balm. They have the texture of a balm and hydrate and smooth lips beautifully. I had dry, chapped lips, but after using Baby Lips all the flakes were gone and my lips felt soft and smooth.

There are 6 different shades and I picked up 3;

L-R: Cherry Me, Pink Punch and Peach Kiss.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter: Peach Parfait & Strawberry Shortcake.

Hey Beauties :)

There's been ALL this hype about the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters, so I had to pick up a couple. I got Peach Parfait and Strawberry Shortcake, because I'm predictable and love peach and pink.
I got both from Target for $6.98.

Calgon Ageless Milk Bath with Serum Beads

Happy Monday Beauties :)

Winter is the time for hot, steaming, relaxing BATHS! I love to listen to music, read a book and eat chocolate in the bath. I’m a multi-tasker.

I recently got the chance to try Calgon’s Ageless Milk Bath with Serum Beads, from Calgon’s Ageless Bath Collection. The Ageless Bath Collection, which consists of the Milk Bath and Bath Pearls (which I have not tried), is created with ‘Vita-Pearls’; a blend of Vitamin E, pearl powder and collagen which is supposed to (as per their press info) “provide antioxidant protection, luminosity and dryness relief”.

SOPA is not the answer.

Ok, I get that we shouldn't be downloading the latest Justin Bieb.... Uhh I mean Kanye West song off the internet, we should be spending the 99c on amazon (fffuuuuuu itunes!) and actually supporting the artist. I'm guilty of violating a few copyrights here and there, but as a part time recording artist/budding photographer/random beauty blogger I understand the importance of not ripping off someone's hard work.

That being said, censoring the internet and giving companies the right to shut down websites willy nilly is NOT THE WAY TO GO ABOUT IT. America is SO proud of "freedom of speech" and politicians are so quick to condemn countries like China and North Korea for internet censorship, but they are prepared to go forward with SOPA??

Makes no sense to me.

Please go and sign this petition to stop SOPA and PIPA. End piracy NOT Liberty! click!

Even if you aren't in the US, this bill WILL affect most of the sites you use every day, such as Youtube, Facebook, Wikipedia etc.

Thanks for your time, Beauties!

Edit: if you aren't sure what SOPA is out would like more information, check out this article via mashable here.

Beauty Bloggers, add your link here to oppose SOPA: here.

Here's a bribe picture of me and my cute niece to convince you.

Pink gyaru style shoes from Shoedazzle. Monthly shoe clubs: yea or nay?

Hello Beauties!

I still have no internet (til wednesday) but I wanted to show you these gorgeous shoes I got from Shoedazzle, so I'm posting from my phone!

I have been buying mostly stuff for the house, but I bought these shoes before we moved and they just arrived!

They are reminiscent of the chunky heeled shoes popular in gyaru fashion, like these:

I know some of you won't like these, but if you're a gyaru fan like me you'll understand ;)

I love love love them, best of all they're suede! Although they may not be everyone's cup of tea, I am absolutely smitten with them <3 I can't wait to find some cute outfits to pair them with.

I got these from Shoedazzle in their 50% off section. I don't buy from Shoedazzle often, as a lot of their shoes just aren't worth the $40 price tag. I mostly buy when they have 20-50% off promos or if there are a pair of boots that I really like.

The whole "monthly shoe club" isn't really my thing, as $40 a month for one pair of shoes doesn't appeal to the frugalista in me. I hate the fact that you have to remember to opt out every month, otherwise they automatically charge you the $40. That's one of the reasons I haven't checked out some of the others, like Just Fab. Having to remember to opt out of 3 or 4 different shoe clubs every month would be too much for my faulty memory. I also prefer looking for sales, as you can usually get great quality shoes for a better price.

What do you think about monthly shoe clubs? Love/hate/indifferent?

I have a whole bunch of posts for when my internet is back! Til then, I'll try to post when I can.
